How long has Levantina been manufacturing TECHLAM®?

Levantina is involved in the world’s most important projects and the professionals in the sector have successfully placed their trust in TECHLAM® for projects as demanding as public transport infrastructure, railway stations, hotels, health centres, refurbishing public buildings, etc. Our clients have been completely satisfied with the very positive results achieved with TECHLAM®.

As part of our global policy, Levantina is continuously searching for innovative new products and applications. TECHLAM® is the direct result of this strategy and Levantina’s continuous investment in R&D. It was awarded the ceramic society’s 2009 Silver Award (Alfa de Plata 09) at Cevisama 2009 for its Capriccio Collection.

Levantina was the first company in Spain to acquire the technology necessary to produce 3 mm thick 3 x 1 meter ceramic sheets and in 2005 this gave rise to TECHLAM® and its Basic Collection.

TECHLAM® already had the widest range of products on the market and in the last years e new designs were added: Hydra, Zahir, Vulcano, Madeira, Blizzard and Goldengloss. All these designs are available from our logistics centre in Castellon.

What finishes are available in every TECHLAM® collection?

The standard finish for all designs is matt.
The Basic Collection can also be manufactured in non-slip and gloss finishes for specific projects.

What institutions endorse TECHLAM®?

TECHLAM® is used in the most demanding projects across the whole of Levantina’s distribution network. It has therefore been endorsed by the most prestigious institutions ensuring compliance with the basic building regulations: CE, UGBC, Greenguard y ASTM

What tools should be used to drill TECHLAM®?

Electric drills with WIDIA bits designed for ceramic products can be used with the hammer action turned off. The area being drilled must be cooled with water in order to prevent the temperature rising to the point where the bit melts. Diamond bits are also now available which are ideal for drilling this type of material. We always recommend that the hammer action be turned off.
