Shopping in Dusseldorf: We are now part of the Breuninger Shopping Centre

Dubai, London, Miami, Ibiza … our marbles have been travelling for years from Levantina quarries to become part of iconic projects all over the world. On this occasion we land in Germany, in fact, in the new Breuninger Department Store in Düsseldorf. It’s a perfect place to see at first hand how our marbles are used in an interior which breathes style and design, located, as it is, next to Königsalle the luxury boulevard in the Kö-Bogen architectural complex.

The combination of Perlato and Crema Marfil was chosen, bearing in mind the clarity of lines which defines Daniel Libeskind’s prize-winning project, to give an elegant homogeneity to the fashion floors and the beauty and accessories sections. And, as we know the importance of detail, the characteristic Scandinavian lines of the furniture in the shopping centre have been combined with Marrón Emperador marble for the floors, creating a unit filled with light and worthy of a design which won the “Best Urban Regeneration Project”.

We could carry on describing the impressive final look of the Breuninger Department Store, but we think the best thing is to encourage you to take a winter break to Dusseldorf and spend an afternoon shopping there. You could certainly use it to update your winter wardrobe or, who knows, perhaps even to get some ideas for your home.
