ProductCrema Marfil Coto®
The subtle elegance of Cancún Airport’s Terminal 3 and its Crema Marfil Coto® marble floors demonstrates that functionality is never at odds with style. A unified, unique floor for a cutting-edge project. Crema Marfil Coto® marble by Levantina reveals itself to be the best choice for high-transit spaces.
Cancún Airport was enlarged in 2016 to improve its services and features. The works undertaken on Terminal 3 brought about an exponential improvement in the architectural structure and in the aesthetics of the space, among other reasons for the use of premium-quality materials. Accordingly, the Htt Arquitectura practice (which drafted the project and carried it out) chose Crema Marfil Coto® marble by Levantina, a magnificent Natural Stone that is perfect for creating the desired continuity on the Terminal’s floors.
The space is divided into structurally independent modules. It became necessary to achieve a sensation of visual continuity and formal unity to create an enveloping, unified space. The presence of Crema Marfil Coto® was one of the solutions chosen by the practice, together with the judicious lighting and strategically chosen finishes. The light, nuanced hue of this Natural Stone increases the feeling of luminosity, while its polished finish reflects the points of light and the white walls of the building. This project is an example of restraint and leading edge, one which shows how a classic material such as marble can also be the best choice for fiercely modern spaces.
