Bionand

As a space devoted to science and research, Bionand needed impeccable, luminous and durable surfaces. In this regard, the Techlam® Basic Neu porcelain material revealed itself as the perfect choice.

Spaces of a spotless white, only interrupted by the discreet presence of glass, the gleam of chromed details and the almost imperceptible touches of lighting. This is the impression created by the open interior spaces of the Bionand (Andalusian Nano-Medicine and Biotechnology Centre) building, the work of the Planho Consultores architecture practice. White takes centre stage in this magnificent project, which finds its greatest virtue in its restrained elegance. The walls of atriums, staircases and hallways show smooth surfaces with fine rectified joins barely perceived in the bigger picture.
The material that gives shape to this impressive architectural skin is Techlam® Basic Neu porcelain material by Levantina, with extraordinary technical and aesthetic qualities and strength. Designed to always offer the best of finishes, this innovative material reveals itself to be best suited for healthcare or laboratory buildings. State-of-the-art facilities such as the Bionand building needed cladding in a material with the same characteristics; thanks to Techlam® Basic Neu, this great project has been realised with the best results.
