ProductCrema Marfil Coto®
With originality and beauty as its creed, the floor of the Kansas State Capitol in Topeka reproduces the map of the state on a surface of Crema Marfil Coto marble by Levantina.
Marble has been accompanying mankind for centuries as part of architectural structures and on floors that millions of footsteps have crossed over the years. Cream marble floors are synonymous with quality, luxury and elegance, with Crema Marfil Coto marble by Levantina being one of the most sought-after for its breathtaking natural beauty. In the Kansas State Capitol, this magnificent stone has become the soul of a floor filled with history, originality and interest. It is located in the Kansas Statehouse visitor center, where we can admire a map of the state reproduced with pieces of this emblematic marble.
The luminous, elegant quality of Crema Marfil Coto marble makes it the best canvas on which to showcase this original project, which is admired by hundreds of people every day. The map is made from 1.5-inch-thick marble tiles, some of which were painstakingly cut to exactly reproduce the limits of each one of the counties that comprise the territory. The adaptability and resilience of this fine Natural Stone has achieved a spectacular effect: the names of the counties and the boundary lines that separate them stand out powerfully against the light color and subtle veins of the marble. The rest of the floor combines rectangular pieces of greater and lesser width to create an effect as dynamic as it is innovative.
